Over 230 attended Family Promise’s fourth annual Spring Event, held March 30th at the Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield NJ. The Event raised over $148,000 - twice that of last year - thanks to record attendance, strong corporate sponsorship, a very successful live auction and for the first time this year – a silent auction themed “Time Out for Families.”

Martin, who first became acquainted with Family Promise as an IHN volunteer, stressed the incredible efficiency of our programs thanks to the dedication of our 124 affiliates and 110,000 volunteers. He asked event attendees to help us meet our goal of opening 15 new networks over the next year.

Karen Olson, President, talked about the tremendous difference our programs have had on the lives of families in need for nearly 20 years. She also helped attendees feel the personal side of what Family Promise is all about by giving several examples of guests currently being helped in our networks. She thanked friends and supporters for helping us keep our promise to families in need.
Nicholas Dawes, formerly with Sotheby’s and now a host of PBS’Antiques Roadshow, kicked off the live auction, which included exciting items such as family trips to ski in Utah and snowmobile in Yellowstone. The last auction item - an initiative to “Help us Build a New Family Promise Network”- ended on a high note as 15 friends and supporters pledged $25,000 – the exact amount needed to develop a new IHN!
